Mia does confront this situation in the film “If I Stay”. The story comes from a book, whose writer is Gayle Forman, and which was acclaimed as 4.5 stars in Amazon online book store. Before a second, Mia has seated in the car with her family; after a second, she was standing outside of the car, and looking at her parent passed away, her brother was in a coma, and her body has been hospitalized. Her disembodied spirit has been recalling the past plot of life, and she questioned herself, how to cope with the future?

 

 

Mia’s parents loved rock N’ Roll very much, but were still supporting Mia to explore her potential of Cello. She loves her brother, and she had cut his umbilical cord personally. Her dream was coming true to study in The Juilliard School. However, the term and condition was separation with Adam, her boyfriend, it makes Mia Frustrated.

 

 

In this moment, between Life and death, she experiences the life; all happiness and unhappiness have been cherished. Yet, the sound from the Cello of Yo-Yo Ma was in her ears. She remembers her unfinished business, the road of music, Adam who is a man love her how deeply, has been gripping her hands. Fight or flight? Persistence means that she will encounter the reality. This is the question that she hesitates. Does she capable of overcoming loneliness of life, and rehabilitation?
