Into another phase - Solid Food

Eating solid food for child is another stage of life. At what stage should the child start eating solid food, so that they can grow up to be strong and healthy kids?

 

Every infant is rely on milk as their main food source, as the child begin to grow up day by day, increasing activities are adding everyday, the nutritional needs will be more and more which milk alone is not sufficient to supply the baby needed. It is generally about 6 months old baby, parents can gradually try to feed them with solid food, extra iron during this period can be given to baby at the same time teach them the ability to chew on food. However, in the early stage of eating, because the mouth muscles and gastrointestinal function is not fully developed, it is recommended that parents should first try to eat pure baby rice cereal, and then add a little breast milk or formula powder milk mixed feeding. Then after a few try can add little bits of vegetables and other fruit, baby who fed on rice cereal steps should go from liquid to solid food texture, until 7-8 months about to start feeding of meat food source such as fish. The amount of food given by the time a small amount of 1 to 2 tablespoons of food, then gradually increased to every 2 to 4 tablespoons to 4 tablespoons to a bowl. Note that parents should not let their baby overfed; to avoid their baby nausea, usually a maximum of one bowl.

 

In addition, parents must be careful in the choice of food, some baby food can easily lead to allergies, such as eggs, lemon and strawberry; these food need to wait until after the baby grow up a little more. In order to accurately grasp the baby's reaction to food, each time of feeding should only add one new food type, and study for about 4-5 days to see whether there will be any signs of discomfort, vomiting or diarrhea, allergic reactions and so on for the child.
