Vaccinated against measles
Recently reported that in United States and Europe patients infected with measles figure has increased significantly, with a recorded of 6,500 cases, with the U.S leading 98 more cases. World Health Organization urged people traveling to Europe should be preceded by the earlier vaccination; parents should take their children two doses of triple vaccine (MMR Vaccine), to avoid being infected. Hong Kong pediatrician points out parents can start to get their one year old baby vaccinated against measles to prevent measles infection.
Measles (Measles) is a viral disease via airborne droplets or direct contact with nose or throat secretions of infected persons. Patients with early symptoms of infection include fatigue, fever, cough, conjunctivitis and white spots on the mouth. A few days later the red-brown spots on the skin rash appears, usually spread through the body from the face, maintaining about a week, and may also be up to 3 weeks. Measles can cause complications such as otitis media, pneumonia, bronchitis and encephalitis, can be deadly serious.
