Entry Interview Questions for Elementary School

Every parent wishes their children will become successful, parents will always work hard to prepare the best elite school for their kids. Going into the finest elementary school with the best teachers, “all-in-one” education school, are all criteria for parents have for their children. Because of these, the elementary entry interview will always be painstaking for most parents. 2.      Everyday Questions

Teachers usually like to use these types of question as a warm-up exercise, so children’s attitude should keep calm and alert. The subject of these question will usually involve the child’s personal interest, family understanding, daily habits, self-care knowledge, daily general sense, school life.

Example:

  1.  What color do you like?
  2.  What toys do you like, stories, television shows?
  3.  Where do your parents take you in holiday?

 

3.     Situation Questions

Situation Questions are a popular subject. Teacher will through the child’s answer to observe their independent thinking and to deal with a contingency or emergency. Therefore, parents can teach their child through daily lives and activities to learn emergency skills.

Examples:

  1.  If you see a child fell down, what do you do?
  2.  If you are lost, what do you do?

 

4.     Problem Solving

These types of questions are mainly setup to observe the child’s knowledge and analyze skills. Therefore, through daily life parents can train their child’s observation skills, independent thinking, and thorough knowledge abilities.

Example:

  1. What are the difference between hamburger and roast pork bun?
  2. Beside airplane, what other kind of transportation can fly in the sky?

 

5.     Speech Expression Questions

In the overall interview process, speech expression questions are usually the most important section. From the child’s question and answer teachers can determine the child’s expression and communication abilities, and also understand their organization and speech abilities

6.     Parent Interview

School will also want to hear from the parent point of view, the main purpose is to find out how much the parents know about the school, for example the school mission, school activities, classes and specialties. On the other hand, from talking teacher will know more about the parent and child relationship, and also how the child was brought up and trained.

  2. Will join the school activities?
  3.  What problems might encounter when bringing up your child?
