Spinach and Radish with Minced Pork Porridge

Suitable for baby 8M+

 

Spinach contains a variety of β-carotene can prevent cancer and heart disease. Folic acid helps prevent birth defects in the fetus. Potassium helps maintain electrolyte balance within cells, and keep steady heart function and blood pressure. Vitamin B6 and Vitamin C benefits the immune system. Iron may help prevent iron deficiency anemia. Calcium and magnesium to build strong bones and balance blood pressure.

 

Radish containing vitamin A, C, E, and B-carotene, lycopene. Carrot helps a better vision to the eyes, prevent cancer, colds, constipation and promote metabolism.

 

(Note: The elderly and children consuming too much raw carrots, have a higher chances of diarrhea  ).

 


ingrediantIngredients: Directions:

Minced pork 50-60g

1.

Boil water(750ml)with high heat, put1/4 cup rice into hot water and boil. Reduce heat to medium, simmer about an hour until rice is mashed.

Plain congee 1 cup

2.

Wash and peel the carrots. Boil them until tender. Blend carrot until mashed.

Carrot 2 tbsp

3.

Boil spinach until tender. Blend spinach until smooth.

Spinach 2 tbsp

4.

Put congee & pork in small saucepan until cooked through.

  5.

Pour carrot mash & spinach mash into pork congee. Serve warm.
