Will Teething Lead to Fever & Diarrhea

In general, babies in their 6 to 8 months period tooth will start to grow out gradually, but some will start as early as 4 months to have their first primary teeth, while others will start at 1 years old. Not to worry or stress, these are normal. Primary teeth grow is determined by genetic factors, and inadequate intake of nutrients or calcium independent, so is unique for individual. If the baby is no later than 1 year old to have their first tooth out, probably hormonal effect or other complex syndrome, the right choice can bring them to the dental clinic for oral examination and diagnosis to determine the reasons .

 

Discomfort during teething in babies often feel anxious, anxiety, poor appetite. When there is a tooth growth every time, there will be a few days is not particularly comfortable, so parents should not worry too much, just do some relaxing playtime with them can reduce the baby discomfort. Why do some parents feels that their baby has a fever or diarrhea phenomenon, does it consider the teething symptoms? Baby teething symptoms and nursing:

 

Regular drooling: always help baby wipes their mouth and replace bib, maintain a hygiene atmosphere.

 

Gum itch: itchy gums is normal at teething period, babies would like to bite things, parents as long as maintaining the "teething ring" clean, put it into the refrigerator, but not into the freezer, and then let baby bite, this can help relieve the discomfort in their gums.

 

Gum swelling: If baby has swollen gums, and there is lump noticeable by touching, this is the sign for teething. The swollen gums can lead to baby  discomfortable, stained cold water onto cloth, then gently massage their swollen gums, allowing them to feel more at ease. However, if the swollen area is red or blue, it is not a normal tooth, parents must take them to see the dentist.

 

Emotional disturbance: teething will make babies a little restless, parents are advised to appease, to spend more time to play with them, let them focus on the game, to reduce anxiety.

 

Poor appetite: parents should their baby eat the right foods which they will like also. With babies that had been eating solid food, cold yogurt or apple juice are great choice.

 

Fever: baby will not have fever because of teething. However, they likes to bite things when teething will increase the chance of infection by the bacteria. If your baby has a fever, runny nose or diarrhea phenomenon, parents should immediately take them to see a doctor for treatment.
