Hong Kong Wetland Park is a world-class eco-tourism facilities, aimed at promoting green eco-tourism, as well as environmental protection and wetland conservation in civic education. Wetland Park also has various workshops, professional guidance from instructor for making paper crafts which included making papercraft animals from the park, origami workshops using recycled paper, grasshopper weaving workshops. Regardless the age of visitor, everyone are welcome to join in this creative parent-child activities.

Wetland Park is divided into "indoor exhibition area" with "outdoor exhibition area". Indoor exhibition area contain three large Wetland Interactive World which are the "What are Wetlands", "Living Wetlands" with "Human Culture") also with an outdoor activity park. Besides the natural wetlands exhibit, the park also have introduced a variety of living unique species, as if the Malayan Gharial, Chevrotain, Cuora Trifasciata, with Hong Kong Wetland Animals generous creatures: Hong Kong fighting fish, Romer's Tree Frog, etc..

Visitor center consist of three large exhibition hall, including audio-visual theater, interactive games zone, and "Wetland World" which display different wetland environment.

"Outdoor Exhibition Area" mainly show a number of aviary, a pontoon (or floating) bridge, wetlands exploration center, which is great for viewing birds, butterflies, dragonflies, damselflies, amphibians, reptiles, crabs, mudskipper, freshwater fish. Hong Kong is a place where a variety of migratory birds spend the winter, visitors can enjoy a various of birds through telescopes located in the aviary.
