Urban Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival 2014

Childhood is composed by imaginations and colourful memories. We used to believe there was a wonderland, where prince and princess lived happily ever after; where black cloaked magician ran the Toy Kingdom train and turned Teddy into a talking bear with a simple magic spell. No matter which generation you belong to, here at the Lantern Carnival, you will find many classic Hong Kong toys and long-forgotten fairytales that will amuse you once again. Come and get ready to show your playful side!

New Territories West Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival 2014

The Carnival themed the four arts of China “Qin (guqin), Qi (go chess), Shu (calligraphy) and Hua (painting)”, showcasing the elegant and melodious Guqin, interesting chess games, a wide variety of superb performances, interactive workshops, make-a-wish corner as well as glittering and glorious lantern installations.

The Carnival features fantastic performances of Chinese and Western music, modern dance, Chinese traditional shadow play puppet show, pantomime, flash mob storytelling and a light-painting photograph workshop. Let’s join together in an enjoyable evening! Do not forget to make a wish upon our glittering lanterns of the 12 Zodiacal Constellations.
