A Taiwanese film, “Meeting Dr. Sun”, is talking about the local youth student, but this is a good opportunity for Hong Kong adult or parent to trace back their motivation and attitudes through various angles examination of the whole matter development; at the same time, it is a good reference of understanding the youth’s thoughts as well as vernal anger.

Synopsis

12 years after BLUE GATE CROSSING, director Yee Chih-Yen finally returns to feature films with this hilarious and whimsical high school comedy. Unable to pay his class fees, Lefty concocts a plan with his friends to steal the bronze Sun Yat-Sen statue sitting in the school’s warehouse and sell it to the scrap metal dealer for money. Lefty’s seemingly perfect plan is derailed when he discovers that another student in the school has come up with the exact same plan. The Best Screenplay Winner at the Taipei Film Festival, MEETING DR. SUN tells a deceptively simple story that also carries a socially relevant message about poverty in Taiwan.
